Zhu Lab

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

About Us

We uncover new biology and chemistry by elucidating the biosynthesis and metabolism of small molecules (e.g., natural products, pharmaceuticals) and macromolecules (e.g., protein-based nanomachines).

The knowledge help us to develop biological platforms that enable the rapid and eco-friendly production of these molecules for health and environmental applications.

To advance our research, we use principles in microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, protein engineering, metabolic engineering, as well as emerging tools in chemical biology and synthetic biology.

We are currently accepting graduate students, undergraduate students, postdocs, and technicians applications. If you are interested, please send your CV to xjzhu@tamu.edu.
